What is a tracking pixel?

Tracking pixel is a 1px by 1px image that helps to track the effectiveness of your advertisement, let you know who opened up your email or how many people visited your website. Pretty important stuff, right? Tracking pixel is so small it is completely invisible, so don’t worry, it’s not going to affect your website’s look, and – contrary to my drawing on the left – it is not 3D dimensional either!

You can get a pixel code from Facebook  or from Google AdWords to track your campaigns.
