Theme for the Game:
Imagine you and your friends are stuck at the airport. Your flight is late and you have at least few hours to wait. Your phone and laptop batteries are dead. There’s really nothing you can do to fill up the time, except… coming up with your own game. You look around. There’s a coffee shop, few gift shops… You have an idea. What if you could borrow some napkins and pens? Maybe someone in the group has different colour markers? You quickly make a list of things you have at hand, and voila! You and your friends are inventing a game!
Here’s the game and the whole process me and my classmate, Maria, have come up with for this project. One thing I would like to improve in this game is that it would be great if we have added some challenges to it that would force players to attack and defend themselves. Maybe a base for each player, a defensive tower or even a check point that would make players to change their strategy. I wish I could find the time to revisit and update the rules!
For now, I hope you find the process interesting and inspiring to design your own conditional game!
Ah, these pesky Diamonds in distress! Who can save them? I would if I could!
