Designing Job Search App For Students

What I learned?

Everyone knows that students have the hardest time with money, as post-secondary education is expensive, and it isn’t easy to sustain a job while studying in college or university. It is even harder to travel or go on vacation while studying. However, students still need to travel.

This app will allow students to find jobs wherever they are, so they can easily apply while travelling.

The app main users were divided into two groups: students and adults.

To create the best interface design, we thoroughly studied the characteristics of the users, including their behaviour, their likes and dislikes, as well as personal strengths and disadvantages.

We conducted the same study on people that could use this app as hirees and compared the results to figure out the similarities and differences between the two groups.

The main pain point of the two groups was intermittent lack of time and lack of resources. The app would allow to connect people that could exchange time for resources and vice versa.

SKETCH PROTOTYPE

This is our final paper prototypes that we submitted with our process document. Before the final version, there were many itterations which we discussed together as a group. We also tested the paper prototype before proceeding to Adobe XD.
