Hi there; I wanted to quickly share some of the photos I took from my recent photo shoot. When I look at them, I feel two things: “Yeah, they’re great!” and: “Oh my goodness, I have to improve on skin coloring! And why do my lights give a different ambient color each time they shoot? Does this have something to do with the fact that I’m hand-shooting? Should I use a tripod? Would this change the ambience of the lights or does it not matter? Should I just replace the background with a different color? DO MY LIGHTS SUCK!?”
I feel quite confident when working in Photoshop, but even after so many years, I still feel there’s so much to learn and so much to improve on. I can reedit the shoe if it’s accidentally missing from the picture, but there are some things that are really difficult to do and I guess they require some practice, like skin editing for example.

For comparison, the second section of images has the temperature slightly brought down. I removed some of the reds and replaced them with blues, but somehow I’m not thrilled with the result.

And here, on the right, is a fully edited background:

I guess the proper balance would be combining these two together to make a fully edited background with lower reds. I certainly don’t like cool gray in the photos since softer gray is much more appealing to me.

My motto: Always strive to do my best.

Have a good day people!

P.S. All the edits were done on my new Mac Book Pro that came out this summer and my new Bluetooth Wacom tablet, which amazingly has no lag time. I love the lack of cables. 🙂
